In this therapy, the patient communicates with a therapist on regular basis about his/her issues. Psychotherapy helps a patient to adjust to any stressful event or crisis, replace his negative thoughts with positive thoughts, improve communication skills, find innovative ways to solve different challenges, increase self-esteem and gain control in his life. Several other therapies are prescribed by physicians such as group therapy.
